Minnesota Wild have announced via General Manager Chuck Fletcher that the club has recalled forwards Christoph Bertschy and Zack Mitchell along with defenseman Mike Reilly from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Iowa Wild.

In addition to the three call ups, the Wild have also announced that the team has placed defenseman Marco Scandella on long-term injured reserve (LTIR) due to what the club has announced being a high right ankle sprain suffered back on October 27th at Buffalo.

Bertschy, 22, has notched one assist in three games played with Minnesota and three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in seven games with Iowa this season.

The 5-foot-10, 186-pound native of Fribourg, Switzerland, scored his first career NHL point with an assist against the Dallas Stars at the end of October. He has recorded one assist in six career NHL contests with the Wild.

Bertschy was selected by Minnesota in the sixth round, 158th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and wears jersey number 47 with Minnesota.

Mitchell, 23, has tallied one goal in 11 appearances with Iowa this season.

The 6-foot-1, 184-pound native of Orangeville, Ontario, scored 42 points (22 goals, 20 assits) in 70 games with Iowa last season and led the club in goals and scoring, ranked second with 145 shots, and tied for 2nd with five power-play goals and had another tie for 3rd in assists.

He was signed as a free agent by the Wild on March 4, 2014, and has not appeared in a NHL game. Mitchell will wear jersey number 59 with Minnesota.

Reilly, 23, is tied for first in scoring with seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) and is tied for 2nd with 22 shots in seven contests with Iowa this season. His point total has him tied for 10th among AHL defensemen.

The 6-foot-2, 193-pound defenseman has skated in two games with Minnesota already this season. He posted seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) in 29 games with Minnesota during his rookie campaign in 2015-16.

The Chicago native and former University of Minnesota Golden Gopher also totaled 23 points (5 goals, 18 assists) in 45 games with Iowa last season, leading the team’s defensemen. Reilly was signed by the Wild as a free agent on July 1, 2015 and wears sweater number 4 with Minnesota.
